Youth ages 9-18 are eligible to purchase annual membership. With membership, youth receive a membership card, access to privileges in Open Recreation & the Teen Center and discounted rates for instructional classes and sports. As per AFI 34-249, participation in youth programs is limited to youth up to 18 years old. Children 8 years of age and younger are allowed to participate only in those activities organized for their age group unless accompanied by a parent. Parents must complete an AF Form 88,
The School Age Program is available for youth ages 5-12. Eligibility and fees are based on total family income. Initial registration requires completion of AF Form 1181 and the Air Force Child Development Program Patron Registration. Options for care include before and after school, Separate registration for summer and the school year is provided. Registration for Before and After School begins 1 August. Parents interested in registering their child(ten) may go the Youth Center for a registration packet.
Space Camp will take place July 30-August 4, 2017 at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. Open to ages 12-18.
Aviation Camp will take place June 24-30, 2017 at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Open to high school Freshmen & Sophomores.
Interested teens must complete the electronic Application Form and submit as directed in the Information Sheet. All lodging, meals and program costs are centrally funded and at no cost to participants or their installations. Transportation costs to each camp are the responsibility of the attendees or their installation.
