Base Honor Guard

The 31st Fighter Wing Honor Guard provides professional military honors for all official military and civil ceremonies as required by the squadron, wing, and higher headquarters. This elite team of Airmen sets the example of excellence and is an everyday ambassador of the United States Air Force.


Civilian Personnel Office

The Civilian Personnel Section (CPS) provides advisory services to commanders/senior leadership, managers, supervisors, US and Local National employees on civilian personnel management, resources, adverse and disciplinary actions, and disseminates changes in policy.


Home Fuels

Home Fuels is the liaison office for the base community to the Italian utility companies. The function of this office is to initiate the set up of the customers’ gas and electric service, set up Gasolio deliveries, and to accept payment for the utility bills.



The Mountain View Lodge, with its 172 rooms considered your “Home Away From Home”. The Lodge is the Air Force’s Innkeeper Award winners for 2007 and 2008, which makes it one of only two bases to ever win back-to back Innkeeper Awards in 24 years. Among our 172 suites and TLF’s, 25 are designed for families traveling with pets. A mini fitness center complete with treadmill, recumbent bike and elliptical machine and free in room WI-FI are available FREE to our visiting guests.


Manpower & Organization

Manpower & Organization provides advisory services to the commanders and leaders of the 31st Fighter Wing and subordinate units. They maintain the wing’s Unit Manpower Document (UMD) and applicable Manpower Standards. Other services include Management Advisory Studies. The 38-series publications govern the activities of the Manpower and Organization section.


Military Personnel Section

The Military Personnel Section (MPS) supports over 10,000 active duty, retired, DoD employees, and family members dispersed over six geographical locations and four countries from initial in-processing, career progression, military professional development, deployments, reenlistments, and family care, casualty reporting and assistance, to final out-processing.

Passport Office

The Passports Office offers the following services:

  • Passports (tourist, no-fee, official, diplomatic) for military, DoD civilians, and dependents of military & DoD civilians (not contractors)
  • Visas for official travel for military & DoD civilians & their dependents (not for tourist travel)
  • SSN cards for newborns, replacement, and name changes
  • Consular Report of Birth Abroad for newborns
  • Command sponsorship for dependants
  • Early return of dependants (ERD)

Veterinary Clinic

Services Offered at the Aviano Veterinary Clinic

Vaccinations: Annual Vaccines (to include Heartworm Test, Fecal, and Physical Exam), All Kitten and Puppy Vaccines (to include de-worming, etc.)

Vaccine Schedule: Please refer to the canine and feline services (wellness packages)

General Surgeries to Include: Spays and Neuters, Dentals, and Mass Removals. (Other surgeries may be available on an individual basis and by doctor’s discretion)

General Laboratory Work/Tests to Include: CBC, Chemistry Profile, T4 Thyroid, Urinalysis, Fecal, Skin Scrape for Mites, Ear Swab, Fungassay (Fungal Test).

Professional Services to Include: AVID Micro chipping, Nail Trim, Anal Glad Expression, De-worming, Ear Cleaning/Flushing, FAVN Test, and Health Certificate.
