The CAA has four primary responsibilities. First, the CAA manages the 31 FW retention program and provides supervisors with retention tools, statistics, and trend analysis data. Secondly, the CAA facilitates Amn, NCO, and SNCO Professional Development Seminars. (PDS)  Third, the CAA provides career counseling services to over 5,000 Aviano and GSU airmen. Lastly, the CAA is responsible for the management and content of the FTAC program.

    FTAC is a series of essential in-processing and training briefings designed to transform trainees to mission capable, war fighters.  FTAC also serves to lessen the burden on units/supervisors by providing training in areas common
to all AFSCs.

    FTAC is a five-day course comprised of mandatory USAF and USAFE curriculum as well as local 31FW material.   Current courses include Personal Financial Management; Equal Opportunity/Sexual Assault/Suicide/Substance Abuse awareness and more!
