When you need to buy or rent a car there are several options available to you. NOTE: Car rental fees are not reimbursable, however it may benefit you if your car has not arrived when searching for a home and exploring the local community.

Buying a Car

US vs. EU specifications
There is a difference between U.S. and Euro specifications. It is highly advised you research this thoroughly before making a purchase. Euro spec vehicles less than 25 years old cannot be shipped back to the US due to US Customs and Border Protection regulations.

On Base

  1. Military Auto Source (MAS) Dealership
  2. Lemon Lot: Located at the back of the commissary parking lot. These cars are sold by service DoD members who are many times PCSing.

Off Base
There are several options surrounding the installation. Pentagon Car Sales, Economy Rental, Mercedes, Patriot Motors, DM Cars, and Rosco’s to name a few.

Upon arriving to Aviano, you may need or choose to rent a vehicle. This will help when looking for homes, settling in, or exploring the area while you wait for your car to arrive.
