Priority Care

Aviano Air Base has established priorities for child care based on DoD requirements.

  • Priority 1: Child Development Center (CDC) and School Age Program (SAP) employees, Single & Dual Military Families (military married to military) and Reservists on active duty (with a family status Single Parent/Dual Military)
  • Priority 2: Single and Dual Military or Command Sponsored DoD Civilians with a full-time non-military working spouse (working 20 hours per week or is a full-time student)
  • Priority 3: Families with an unemployed spouse

Eligibility

Dependent children, 6 weeks old to 12 years of age, of active duty personnel, DoD civilian personnel, reservists on active duty or during inactive duty training, DoD contractors and Coast Guard personnel assigned to or living on the installation, are eligible to use the Child and Youth Program services.

Child Development Services

Aviano Air Base operates 2 Child Development Centers. Both centers are DoD certified offering quality & early childhood programming for your children, specializing in learning through play. Enrollment is available on a priority basis for children 6 weeks to 5 years old.

Programs Offered
Full time, hourly, part day pre-school, PCS Care, Give parents a Break, Kids Night out/Parents Night Out. Part-day Pre-School is offered at the Area F facility.

  • School Age CareKindergarten to 6th Grade
    Programs Offered
    For youth in Kindergarten to 6th grade. This program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and provides care before and after school and all day on non-school days.

    Programs Offered
    Open Recreations offers Boys & Girls Club and 4-H programs, field trips and activities after school, expanded hours and programs during non-school days.

  • Teen Center13 to 18 years old
    Programs Offered
    For teens ages 13 to 18 years old, they offer Boys & Girls Club and 4-H programs, field trips and activities after school, expanded hours and programs during non-school days.

  • Youth Sports3 to 18 years old
    Program offered:
    Basketball, baseball/softball, soccer, and flag football for youth ages 5-18. We also offer smart start programs for ages 3-4 to include t-ball, basketball, football and soccer. All youth must have a current physical on file and up to date immunizations prior to registration. Volunteer coaches are always needed!
