The Child and Youth Programs Mission is to assist DoD military and civilian personnel in balancing the competing demands of the accomplishment of the DoD mission and family life by managing and delivering a system of quality, available, and affordable programs and services for eligible children and youth from birth to 18 years of age.
The Child Development & Youth Programs relies heavily on the support of spouses/dependents for full time and part time employment opportunities and positions. This is a great tool to have in your backpack as a military/civilian spouse or dependent; training provided for entry to experienced, pay increases as training levels are accomplished and transferable wherever you may go (Air Force, Navy, Army or Marines).
Hourly/PCS care options are offered at Flightline CDC on space available basis only. Parents may make PCS reservations for child care up to 30 days in advance. Spaces are a first come, first served basis. Please contact Flightline CDC for availability.
This Air Force Aid Program offers Air Force families up to 20 hours free child care per child (on a space available basis) within 60 days of arrival or departure to/from the base.
Highly recommended as these slots fill up quickly. Reservations may be made up to 4 weeks in advance by the parent or sponsor of incoming personnel.
To receive the care for FREE, a PCS child care voucher must be obtained from the Airman and Family Readiness Center then provided to the applicable program.
The purpose of Give Parents a Break (GPAB) is to offer families a few hours away from the stress of parenting and use the time to suit their personal needs. Call Airmen & Family Readiness how you can receive a voucher. This program will be held at the Flightline Child Development Center for children ages 6 weeks to 5 yrs. Note: GPAB program is not to be used to simply provide “free child care” but rather as a program to help commanders, first sergeants, and other base officials help families who need temporary relief from the challenges of parenting.
